Lillian Neergaard’s preferred media are acrylic painting and mixed paper-collages.
She studied drawing and painting at art schools in Paris and Neuchatel, and at Holbaek High School for Art Holbaek, Denmark.
Lived and worked for a decade in Tuscany, Italy.
Début 1983, Charlottenborg Spring Exhibition, Copenhagen.
Has illustrated about 10 children’s books for Gyldendal Publishing House, Copenhagen.
Represented in various private collections in Denmark, Germany Switzerland and Italy.

Lillian Neergaard’s exciting and refined sense of colour is obvious in her non-figurative paintings which are carefully composed with delicate (or meticulous) strokes of a fine brush.
Taking off from her highly imaginative paper collages, the paintings range from sensitively poetical perceptions to dramatically apocalyptic visions, while her book illustrations humorously complement the narrative.
